Announcement of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on the issuance of the national standard "Design Fire Protection Standards for Thermal Power Plants and Substations"

The Design Fire Protection Standard for Thermal Power Plants and Substations is now approved as the national standard, numbered GB 50229-2019, and will be implemented as of August 1, 2019. Among them, 3.0.1, 3.0.9, 4.0.15, 5.1.1, 5.1.2, 5.1.3, 5.2.5, 5.3.7 , 6.2.4, 6.4.8, 6.4.4.17, 6.5.2 (1,2,3,4,9), 6.7.3, 6.7.6, 6. 8.4, 6.8.7, 6.8.8, 6.8.8.11, 6.8.8.12, 7.1.4, 7.3.1, 7.5.3, 7.6. 4, 7.13.7, 8.1.2, 9.1.1, 9.1.2, 9.1.4, 9.1.5, 9.2.1, 10.1.1, 10.2.1, 10.2.2, 10.5.3, 11.1.1, 11.1.5, 11.1.7, 11.2.8, 11.2.9, 11. 5.11, 11.5.17, 11.6.1, 11.6.2, 11.7.1 (1, 2, 3, 4) (paragraphs) are mandatory provisions and must be strictly implemented. The original national standard "Code for Fire Protection Design of Thermal Power Plants and Substations" GB 50229-2006 was repealed at the same time.

Foreword

In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's "Notice on Printing and Distributing the" 2011 National Engineering Standard Development and Revision Plan "(Jianbiao [2011] No. 17), the Standards Compilation Group is conducting in-depth investigations and studies, and conscientiously summing up practical experience with reference International standards and advanced foreign standards, based on extensive consultation, revised the original specification.
This standard is divided into 11 chapters. The main content is general principles, terminology, fire hazard classification, fire resistance rating and fire zone of coal-fired power plant buildings (structures), general layout of coal-fired power plant sites, and coal-fired power plant construction (structure). Safe evacuation and building construction of buildings, coal-fired power plant process systems, fire-fighting water supply, fire-extinguishing facilities and automatic fire alarms for coal-fired power plants, heating, ventilation and air conditioning of coal-fired power plants, fire-fighting power and lighting of coal-fired power plants, gas-fired power plants, Substation.
The main contents of this revision are:
1. Adjusted the scope of application of the code;
2. Fire hazards of buildings (structures) and fire resistance levels, fire prevention measures in key parts of the main building, fire performance of building components of the coal transportation system, fire prevention measures of the denitration system, safe evacuation of buildings, pulverized coal storage The internal pressure of explosion, the selection and laying of fire cables, power cables, the selection, technical parameters and selection scope of various types of buildings for fire extinguishing, detection and alarm, smoke prevention, evacuation indicators and emergency lighting systems were revised and improved;
3. The types of substation buildings have been adjusted and supplemented, and the fire protection requirements for underground substations and unattended substations have been increased, as well as the requirements for the installation of fire-fighting water and fire alarm systems in buildings.
The provisions in this standard marked with bold type are mandatory and must be strictly implemented.
