Announcement of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on the release of the industry standard "Code for Design of Hotel Buildings"

The "Guidelines for Hotel Building Design" is now approved as the industry standard, numbered JGJ 62-2014, and will be implemented as of March 1, 2015. Among them, Articles 4.1.9 and 4.1.1 are mandatory provisions and must be strictly implemented. The original "Guidelines for the Design of Hotel Buildings" JGJ 62-90 was repealed at the same time.
This specification is published by China Construction Industry Press organized by the Standard Quota Research Institute of our Ministry.

Foreword

According to the requirements of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's "Notice on the Issuance of the" 2009 Construction and Construction Standards and Specifications "(Build Standard [2009] No. 88), the normative preparation team has conducted extensive investigations and studies, and carefully summarized its practical experience. Relevant international standards and advanced foreign standards, and on the basis of extensive consultation, this specification was revised.
The main technical contents of this specification are: 1. General provisions; 2. Terminology; 3. 3. Site selection, base and general plan; Architectural design; 5. Indoor environment; 6. Construction Equipment.
The main technical contents of the revision of this specification are: 1. Added terminology and indoor environment; 2. Eliminate fire prevention and evacuation; 3. 3. The hotel building level was changed from low to high into one, two, three, four, and five levels, and the corresponding provisions were revised; Adapted to the requirements of hotel building use, management, and technology development, relevant provisions were revised.
The provisions marked with bold type in this specification are mandatory and must be strictly implemented.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is responsible for the management and interpretation of the mandatory provisions, and the China Academy of Architectural Design and Research is responsible for the interpretation of specific technical content.
