Announcement on the release of the national standard "Accessibility Design Specifications"


The "Accessibility Design Code" is now approved as a national standard, numbered GB 50763-2012, and will be implemented from September 1, 2012. Among them, Articles 3.7.3 (3, 5), 4.4.5, 6.2.4 (5), 6.2.7 (4), 8.1.4 (paragraphs) are mandatory The provisions must be strictly implemented. The original "Code for Barrier-free Design of Urban Roads and Buildings" JGJ 50-2001 was repealed at the same time.
This specification is published by China Construction Industry Press organized by the Standard Quota Research Institute of our Ministry.

Foreword

This code is based on the requirements of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's "Notice on Printing and Distributing the" 2009 Construction and Construction Standard Specification Development and Revision Plan "" (Build Standard [2009] No. 88). carry out.
During the compilation of this code, the compilation team conducted extensive and in-depth investigations and studies, and seriously summarized the practical experience of barrier-free construction in different regions of China in recent years, carefully studied and analyzed the status and development of barrier-free construction, and referred to relevant international standards and standards. Based on advanced foreign technology, and after extensively soliciting opinions from relevant units across the country, through repeated discussions, modifications and improvements, the final review was finalized.
This specification is divided into 9 chapters and 3 appendices. The main technical contents are: general principles, terminology, design requirements for barrier-free facilities, urban roads, urban squares, urban green spaces, residential areas, residential buildings, public buildings, and historical and cultural heritage buildings. Obstacle construction and transformation.
The provisions marked with bold type in this specification are mandatory and must be strictly implemented.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is responsible for the management and interpretation of the compulsory provisions, and Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute is responsible for the interpretation of specific technical content.
