Announcement of the Ministry of Construction on issuing the national standard "Code for Construction and Acceptance of Gas Fire Extinguishing Systems"


The "Code for Construction and Acceptance of Gas Fire Extinguishing Systems" is now approved as the national standard, numbered GB50263-2007, and implemented as of July 1, 2007. Among them, Articles 3.0.8 (3), 4.2.1, 4.2.4, 4.3.2, 5.2.2, 5.2.7, 5.4.6, 5.5.4, 6.1.5, 7.1.2, 8.0.3 (Paragraphs) are mandatory provisions and must be strictly enforced. The original "Code for Construction and Acceptance of Gas Fire Extinguishing Systems" GB50263-97 was abolished at the same time.

This specification is published by the China Planning Publishing House organized by the Standard Quota Research Institute of the Ministry of Construction.

Foreword


According to the requirements of the Ministry of Construction Jianbi [2003] No. 102, this code is organized by the Fire Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security to organize the Tianjin Fire Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security together with the relevant participating units to jointly work on the "Code for Construction and Acceptance of Gas Fire Extinguishing Systems" GB 50263-97 Fully revised. In the process of revision, the revision team followed the national policies and policies on basic construction and the fire prevention work policy of "prevention-oriented and combination of fire prevention and prevention". On the basis of summing up domestic practical experience, referring to ISO and relevant foreign standards such as the United States, Britain, Germany, and Japan, the GB 50263-97 was supplemented and modified. Added IG 541 mixed gas fire extinguishing system, heptafluoropropane fire extinguishing system, hot aerosol fire extinguishing device, etc., supplemented the low-pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system, and deleted the haloalkane 1211 fire extinguishing system. The revision of this specification has extensively solicited the opinions of relevant units and experts in a variety of ways. The main issues have been repeatedly demonstrated and studied, revised many times, and finally reviewed by experts and finalized by relevant departments.

This specification is divided into 8 chapters and 6 appendices, including: general rules, terminology, basic provisions, materials and system components on-site, installation, commissioning, system engineering acceptance, maintenance management, and appendices.

The provisions marked in bold in this code are mandatory and must be strictly enforced.

The Ministry of Construction is responsible for the management and interpretation of mandatory provisions, the Ministry of Public Security is responsible for the specific management, and the Tianjin Fire Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security is responsible for the interpretation of specific technical content.
