Announcement on the release of the national standard `` Code for Grounding Design of AC Electrical Installations ''

The "Grounding Design Code for AC Electrical Equipment" is now approved as a national standard, numbered GB / T 50065-2011, and will be implemented from June 1, 2012. The original GBJ 65-83 of "Grounding Design Code for Industrial and Civil Power Equipment" was repealed at the same time.
This specification is published by the China Planning Publishing House organized by the Standard Quota Research Institute of our Ministry.

Foreword

This specification is based on the requirements of the “Ministry of Construction and Revision of National Standards for Construction and Development of Projects in 2004” (Jianbiao [2004] No. 67) issued by the former Ministry of Construction. The national standard "Grounding Design Code for Industrial and Civil Power Equipment" GBJ 65-83 was revised.
During the revision of this specification, the revision team has extensively collected the new requirements for grounding technology of AC electrical installations in electrical engineering with the development of power systems in recent years, as well as relevant scientific research results and engineering practical experience. Many new contents have been added on the basis of. After carefully handling the feedback from the solicitation draft, it was submitted for review, and finally reviewed and finalized.
This specification is divided into 8 chapters and 9 appendices. The main technical contents include: general principles, terminology, grounding of high-voltage electrical installations, grounding grids of power plants and substations, grounding of high-voltage overhead lines and cable lines, grounding of high-voltage electrical distribution installations, Low-voltage system grounding type, grounding of overhead lines, grounding resistance and protective equipotential bonding system of electrical devices, grounding devices and protective conductors of low-voltage electrical devices, etc.
The main contents of this revision of this code are:
1. The scope of application of the code was revised from 35kV and below to 750kV and below. At the same time, due to the different grounding requirements, AC electrical devices are divided into high voltage (above 1kV to 750kV) and low voltage (1kV and below) electrical devices according to the difference in system nominal voltage.
2. In accordance with the revision of the provisions, terminology has been appropriately added.
3. Specifies the type of grounding. With the expansion of the scope of the code, the scope of protective grounding for high-voltage electrical installations has also been expanded.
4. The general requirements of grounding grid design for substations of 110kV and above are proposed. For the effective grounding system substation grounding network, the ground potential rise limit and voltage equalization requirements are proposed. Copper and copper-clad steel materials have been introduced for the anti-corrosion requirements of grounding devices. Added grounding requirements for gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear (GIS) substations, as well as grounding requirements for lightning protection and antistatic power plants and substations.
5. Provisions are made for the grounding of high-voltage overhead lines and cable lines.
6. Provisions are made for the grounding of high-voltage distribution electrical installations.
7. With reference to the relevant IEC standards and current national standards, regulations for grounding types of low-voltage systems, grounding of overhead lines, grounding resistance of low-voltage electrical installations, and protection of equipotential bonding are proposed.
8. According to the relevant IEC standards and current national standards, the requirements for grounding devices and protective conductors of low-voltage electrical installations are proposed.
This specification is managed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Standardization Management Center of the China Electricity Enterprise Federation is responsible for the specific management, and the China Electric Power Research Institute is responsible for the interpretation of specific technical content.
