Announcement of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on the release of the national standard "Protection Planning Standards for Historic and Cultural Cities"

The "Standard for the Protection of Historic and Cultural Cities" is now approved as the national standard, numbered GB / T 50357-2018, and will be implemented from April 1, 2019. The original national standard "Guidelines for the Protection of Historic and Cultural Cities" (GB 50357-2005) was repealed at the same time.
This standard is published on the portal website of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (www.mohurd.gov.cn) and published by the China Construction Industry Press organized by the Standard Quota Research Institute of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

Foreword

According to the requirements of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's Notice on Printing and Distributing the <2010 Project Construction Standards and Specifications Development and Revision Plan> (Jianbiao [2010] No. 43), the Standards Compilation Group has conducted investigations and studies, carefully summarized practical experience, and referred to relevant international Standards and advanced foreign standards, and on the basis of extensive consultation, this standard was revised.
The main technical contents of this standard are: General provisions; 2. Terminology; 3. Famous historical and cultural city; 4. 4. Historical and cultural blocks; Cultural relics protection units and historic buildings.
The main technical contents of the revision of this standard are: 1. Refined the protection of historical and cultural cities and historical and cultural blocks; 2. 2. Renewed and standardized related expressions; 3. Refined the standards for delineating the protection boundaries between historical and cultural cities and historical and cultural blocks; 4. 4. Adjust the original code "3.3 Building Height Control" to "Layout and Features"; 5. Coordinating other relevant standards and supplementing relevant provisions; 6. Combined with the practical experience of protection, the related contents of road traffic, municipal engineering, disaster prevention and environmental protection were optimized.
This standard is managed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design is responsible for the interpretation of specific technical content.
