Announcement of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on the release of the national standard "Uniform Standard for Reliability Design of Building Structures"

The "Uniform Standard for Reliability Design of Building Structures" is now approved as the national standard, numbered GB 50068-2018, and will be implemented from April 1, 2019. Among them, Articles 3.2.1, 3.3.2 are mandatory provisions and must be strictly implemented. The original "Uniform Standard for Reliability Design of Building Structures" GB 50068-2001 was abolished at the same time.
This standard is published on the portal website of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (www.mohurd.gov.cn) and published by the China Construction Industry Press organized by the Standard Quota Research Institute of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

According to the requirements of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's "Notice on Printing and Distributing the" 2015 Project Construction Standard Specification Development and Revision Plan (First Batch) "(Jianbiao [2014] No. 189), the standard preparation team has conducted extensive investigations and studies carefully Summarized practical experience, referred to relevant international standards and advanced foreign standards, and revised this standard on the basis of extensive consultation.
The main technical contents of this standard are: General provisions; 2. Terms and symbols; 3. Basic regulations; 4. 4. Design principles of limit state; 5. Structural role and environmental impact; 6. Material and geotechnical properties and geometric parameters; 7. 8. Structural analysis and experimental aided design; Partial coefficient design method.
The main technical contents of the revision of this standard are: 1. 1. Fully coordinated with "Uniform Standard for Reliability Design of Engineering Structures" GB 50153-2008; 2. 2. Adjusted the setting level of the safety of the building structure, increased the value of the partial coefficients of related actions, and eliminated the combination of the original standard that played a controlling role when the permanent load effect was dominant; 3. 3. Increased the seismic design situation, and introduced the design concept of "small earthquakes are not bad, moderate earthquakes can be repaired, and large earthquakes do not fall" for the seismic design of building structures; 4. Improve the existing structure reliability assessment regulations; Added relevant regulations for overall structural stability design; 6. Added relevant regulations for structural durability limit state design.
The provisions marked in bold in this standard are mandatory and must be strictly implemented.
