Announcement of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on the release of the national standard "Standards for the Prevention and Control of Soil and Water Loss in Production and Construction Projects"

The "Standard for the Prevention and Control of Soil and Water Loss in Production and Construction Projects" is now approved as the national standard, numbered GB / T 50434-2018, and will be implemented as of April 1, 2019. The original "Water and Soil Loss Prevention Standards for Development and Construction Projects" GB 50434-2008 was abolished at the same time.
This standard is published on the portal website of the Ministry of Housing, Urban and Rural Construction (www.mohurd.gov.cn), and published by China Planning Press organized by the Standard Quota Research Institute of the Ministry of Housing, Urban and Rural Construction.

Foreword

According to the requirements of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's Notice on Printing and Distributing the <2015 Project Construction Standards and Specifications Development and Revision Plan> (Jianbiao [2014] No. 189), the standard preparation team has conducted extensive research and carefully summarized the engineering practice experience with reference to relevant International standards and advanced foreign standards, and on the basis of extensive consultation, this standard was revised.
This standard is divided into 4 chapters. The main technical contents are: general principles, terminology, basic regulations, prevention and control standards.
The main revisions of this standard are: 1. 1. Improved the standard classification of soil and water loss prevention standards; 2. Adjusted water and soil loss prevention indicators; Soil and water loss prevention and control indicators are proposed according to the black soil areas in the northeast, the sandy areas in the north, the rocky mountains in the north, the loess plateau in the northwest, the red soil in the south, the purple soil in the southwest, the karst areas in the southwest, and the Qinghai-Tibet plateau.
This standard is managed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the daily management by the Ministry of Water Resources, and the interpretation of specific technical content by the Soil and Water Conservation Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Water Resources.
