Announcement of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on the release of the national standard "Construction Standards for Mass Concrete"

The "Construction Standard for Mass Concrete" is now approved as the national standard, numbered GB 50496-2018, and will be implemented from December 1, 2018. Among them, Articles 4.2.2, 5.3.1 are mandatory provisions and must be strictly implemented. The original national standard "Construction Code for Mass Concrete" GB 50496-2009 was abolished at the same time.
This standard is published on the portal website of the Ministry of Housing, Urban and Rural Construction (www.mohurd.gov.cn), and published by China Construction Industry Press organized by the Standard Quota Research Institute of the Ministry of Housing, Urban and Rural Construction.

Foreword

According to the requirements of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's Notice on Printing and Distributing the <2015 Project Construction Standards and Specifications Development and Revision Plan> (Jianbiao [2014] No. 189), the standard preparation team has conducted extensive investigations and studies, and carefully summarized its practical experience. Relevant international standards and advanced foreign standards, and based on extensive consultation, this standard has been compiled.
The main technical contents of this standard are: 1 general rules; 2 terms and symbols; 3 basic regulations; 4 raw materials, mix ratios, preparation and transportation; 5 construction; 6 temperature monitoring and control.
The main technical contents of the revision of this standard are: 1 stipulates the requirements of "four sections and one environmental protection" during the construction of large-volume concrete; 2 proposes the requirements for safety measures and labor protection in the construction of large-volume concrete; 3 The design strength level, the cement hydration heat index and the mix design parameters were appropriately adjusted; 4 the special regulations for the sampling of large-scale concrete construction sites were proposed; 5 the requirements for stress-strain testing that can be carried out according to the needs of the project; 6 Proposes that the adiabatic temperature rise value of concrete can be directly obtained through tests; 7 The calculation method for the value of m in the adiabatic temperature rise calculation formula is given; 8 The coefficient of influence of the admixture on the tensile strength of the concrete is deleted ( λ); 9 gives the influence coefficients M 10 and M 11 of the concrete shrinkage again; 10 gives the thermal conductivity values of various insulation materials.
The provisions marked in bold in this standard are mandatory and must be strictly implemented.
